Historical Context and Positioning in the Range

The MDH-Stage 2 is part of Roland's hardware ecosystem dedicated to V-Drums kits. Designed as a direct extension of the MDS-Stage 2 rack, it optimizes the ergonomics of a set by adding an extra pad without compromising stability, a key point both in rehearsal and on stage.

Who This Drum/Mount Is For

This mount is aimed at beginner to expert drummers who want to expand a Roland electronic kit: adding a tom, an effects pad, or a percussion pad. Ideal for pop/rock, electro, funk, and live music contexts where mounting reliability and quick adjustment are priorities.

Features and Innovations

Thanks to its ball clamp, the MDH-Stage 2 allows fine angle and height adjustments to position a V-Pad exactly where the playing gesture feels natural. Its "heavy duty" oriented construction limits unwanted movement and contributes to a more stable playing feel, even during hard hits.

Sound

As a mount, the MDH-Stage 2 does not directly influence samples or sound output. However, a more rigid setup improves playing comfort and strike consistency on a V-Pad, which helps to fully exploit the pad's dynamics and sensitivity.
