What SRX BRASS Is For
SRX BRASS is a virtual instrument dedicated to brass sounds, designed to quickly integrate a credible section into your productions. It suits pop-rock arrangements (riffs, stabs, supporting brass), film music (crescendos, expressive pads, orchestral layers), as well as more classical writing requiring natural dynamics.
Thanks to its multiple velocities and waveforms, the plug-in responds musically to keyboard playing and facilitates writing realistic lines, whether you work in MIDI within your DAW or perform live on a controller.
Main Features
An authentic "Roland expansion" sound
Derived from the legendary SRX and SR-JV80 waveform expansions, SRX BRASS offers a brass palette designed for production: clear attacks, sustains, progressive dynamics, and playing variations that enhance the illusion of real acoustic instruments. The waveforms are organized to cover both soloists and ensembles, allowing you to quickly move from an idea to a full arrangement.
DCB technology and simple yet detailed editing
DCB (Digital Circuit Behavior) technology aims to faithfully reproduce the character of the original sounds by combining historic ROMs and circuit behavior-oriented modeling. The user interface remains intuitive while providing access to sound design parameters useful in production, allowing you to tailor the timbre, response, and expression to your track.
Built-in effects and mix-ready patches
SRX BRASS includes a full effects section to shape the brass in context: multi-effects, chorus, and reverb. This allows you to switch from a dry and precise sound (ideal for modern arrangements) to a wider spatial placement (perfect for film music), without weighing down your session.
Modern workflow, unlimited saving, and hardware integration
You can save unlimited custom sounds, convenient for creating multiple variations (verses, choruses, breaks) while maintaining overall coherence. The plug-in also offers easy integration with certain current Roland hardware synthesizers, whose buttons and sliders can be mapped to speed up adjustments and make editing more tactile.
