Historical Context and Positioning Within the Range
This Premium version of the V-Pads emphasizes improved ergonomics and detection reliability, with a more modern presentation. The goal is clear: to offer a pad with a more consistent surface response while enhancing the sense of quality through redesigned hoop and finishing elements.
Target Audience for This Drum/Pad
The V-Pads Premium is aimed at beginner to advanced drummers seeking a more consistent strike without missed triggers in certain areas. It is suitable for both rehearsals and technical work (ghost notes, accents, dynamics), in styles where precision is essential: pop, rock, funk, fusion, or contemporary music.
Features and Innovations
The new overall design and the construction of the molded hoops aim for better stability and a more refined feel. The rubberized inner section contributes to a more controlled contact, while the optimized playing area eliminates dead zones on the 12-inch and 10-inch pads, providing a more reliable and consistent response.
Sound
On an electronic drum kit, the "sound" directly depends on the triggering quality : the more uniformly the strike is detected, the better the samples or internal sounds retain their nuances and dynamics. By reducing dead zones, this pad promotes more expressive playing, with better-translated attacks and a more coherent feel across the entire surface.
