Historical Context and Positioning Within the Range
Roots Percussions follows a "world instruments" approach, with particular attention to durability and field use. This Deluxe case is positioned as a premium solution for percussionists who regularly transport their surdo and seek reliable everyday protection.
Who This Drum/Surdo Is For
This case is intended for all surdo players, from beginners to experienced musicians, who play in batucada, samba, maracatu, or percussion ensembles. It is especially suitable for mobile musicians (classes, rehearsals, parades) thanks to its backpack carrying style and storage compartments.
Features and Innovations
Designed to accommodate a surdo with a 46 cm diameter and up to 55 cm depth, it combines substantial padding, adjustable padded straps, and multiple storage areas: top compartment for spare heads, tuning key or small percussion, side storage, and internal space for the beaters to prevent impacts on the shell.
Sound Quality
A good case does not "change" the sound but helps preserve it: by limiting impacts, moisture, and scratches, it contributes to maintaining the stability of the heads, the integrity of the shell, and the consistency of the response, rehearsal after rehearsal.
