The P/J combination is particularly comfortable in rock, pop, funk, R&B, gospel, and modern jazz: neck pickup for a full and solid low end, bridge pickup for increased attack and precision, or both for a very "mix-ready" balance.

Sound

The okoumé body promotes a balanced response, with present low mids and good responsiveness, helping the bass remain clear without hardening the upper spectrum. The roasted maple neck delivers a crisp attack and a stable feel, while the morado fingerboard contributes to clear definition and comfortable playability. On the electronics side, the passive Sadowsky P-Style (neck) and J-Style (bridge) pickups allow for a range from round and thick tones to tighter and more articulated sounds. The Volume / Balance / Treble / Bass controls provide immediate access to essential settings to adapt the bass to the room, style, and playing technique (fingers, pick, slap).

This bass is delivered as a 4-string with original gauge 045-105, so you can safely choose a 4-string bass string set 045-105 (stainless steel if you want to maintain a bright attack and excellent presence). The included Sadowsky Portabag is suitable for regular transport.
