Introduced in 2006, the Hellraiser series quickly established itself as one of Schecter's flagship lines thanks to meticulous craftsmanship, an instantly recognizable design, and electronics geared towards powerful tones. This version combines a warm mahogany base, a more lively flamed maple top, and an active EMG setup designed for precision in high-gain settings.

This 6-string electric guitar is primarily aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists looking for a reliable machine for metal, hard rock, modern rock, and tight rhythm playing in standard or lower tunings. The floating Floyd Rose will appeal to players who favor pronounced vibrato, while the coil split expands the palette for clearer, more cutting tones.
The Sound
The mahogany combination (body + 3-piece neck) delivers a dense low-midrange and generous sustain, while the flamed maple top adds attack and definition, ideal for keeping palm mutes clear. On the electronics side, the EMG 81TW at the bridge provides a sharp and very precise high-gain tone, perfect for modern rhythms. The EMG 89 at the neck offers a rounder, more expressive response for leads, and the volume push-pulls allow switching to split mode for brighter, airier colors while maintaining the stability and output level of an active system.
