A C-1 SLS Elite: the "modern performance" vision of the range
Developed as a high-end variant of the famous C-1 series, the SLS Elite line emphasizes playing comfort and stability under demanding conditions. The Black Fade Burst or Antique Fade Burst finishes highlight the flamed maple top and its arch, while embracing a decidedly contemporary look.
For whom, and for which styles?
The C-1 SLS Elite is aimed at intermediate to expert guitarists seeking a precise, fast, and versatile electric guitar. Its ultra-thin "C" neck, stainless steel frets, and advanced electronics make it ideal for modern metal, progressive styles, energetic rock, lower tunings, tight rhythms, as well as highly articulated leads.
The sound
The combination of ash body + flamed maple top delivers a solid low end, sharp attacks, and excellent clarity, especially useful when saturated. The multi-piece neck-through construction (maple/walnut/padauk) promotes a seamless feel under the fingers and generous sustain, while the ebony fingerboard enhances immediate response and treble precision. On the electronics side, the Fishman Fluence Modern pickups offer two personalities (a modern active-voiced tone and a more passive-like tone), complemented by an HF filter to thicken the lows and a 6 dB gain reduction to balance levels. The coil split with selectable coil opens up clearer, more percussive registers, perfect for arpeggios and cutting parts.
Recommended compatible accessories
To stay as close as possible to the original setup, you can opt for 10-46 gauge strings (like the supplied set). If you are looking for a dedicated transport solution, the guitar is compatible with the SGR-1C gig bag (sold separately, optional).

Questions frequently asked
Is the Schecter C-1 SLS Elite suitable for modern metal and low tunings?
Its 648 mm (25.5 inch) scale length, fixed Hipshot through-body bridge, and Fishman Fluence Modern pickups meet the demands of modern metal and lower tunings. The ceramic magnet bridge pickup emphasizes sharp attack under saturation.
What settings do the Fishman Fluence Modern pickups offer?
The electronics provide two voices: a modern active tone and a passive-like voice. A high-frequency filter thickens the bass, while a 6 dB gain reduction balances volume levels. Coil-splitting with coil selection delivers clearer and more percussive sounds.
Is the neck suited for fast playing?
The neck-through design features an ultra-thin C profile measuring 19 mm at the nut and 20 mm at the 12th fret. The ebony fretboard carries 24 stainless steel X-Jumbo frets and a compound radius from 305 to 406 mm (12 to 16 inches).
What string gauge should be used on this guitar?
A set of steel strings in 10-46 gauge allows maintaining the original factory setup.
Is a gig bag included with this model?
The SGR-1C gig bag is compatible but sold separately as an option.
