With the CV series, Schecter offers instruments tailored for vintage rock sounds as well as modern productions. The concept combines vintage aesthetics (radius, body lines, flat top) with a contemporary design focused on versatility, thanks to electronics capable of evolving the pickup tone without complicating ergonomics: plug in, select, play.

This 5-string bass is aimed at intermediate to advanced bassists who want to cover a wide repertoire with a single instrument. It excels in rock (vintage or alternative), pop, funk, and contemporary music requiring a precise low string. The numerous wiring options also allow switching from a more snappy and defined sound to a denser and more muscular register, ideal for adapting to a busy mix.
The Sound
Ash provides a dynamic response with good attack and clear articulation, while the maple bolt-on neck promotes punch and precision in the low end. The 35" / 889 mm scale length increases tension on the low string for a cleaner low B with solid sustain. Regarding pickups, the Schecter Diamond J-Bucker offer a versatile foundation, and the series/split/parallel switches allow moving from a thicker, powerful tone to more airy and articulate textures. The Volume/Tone duo maintains a straightforward approach, perfect for quickly adjusting presence or rounding off the highs without wasting time.
