A Signature Model Designed for Stage and Studio

The Keith Merrow KM-6 MK-III Artist complements Keith Merrow's signature collection, a guitarist known for his surgical playing and contemporary tones. This version emphasizes efficiency: performance-oriented luthiery, straightforward electronics, and premium components, allowing seamless transition from studio tracking to large stages without compromise.

Who Is It For, and Which Styles?

This 6-string electric guitar is primarily aimed at intermediate to expert guitarists seeking fast playability and very clear response. It excels in modern metal, djent, prog, metalcore, and any context where articulation is key (tight palm-mutes, heavy chords, precise leads). Its "Ultra Thin C" neck and stainless steel frets also invite fast solos and controlled bends.

The Sound

The combination of a mahogany body and a flamed maple top delivers a highly effective balance: mahogany enhances low mids and warmth, while maple adds attack and clarity, especially useful in high-gain settings. The 3-piece maple neck-through, reinforced with carbon fiber rods, promotes an immediate response feel and generous sustain. The Lundgren M6 (humbuckers) are designed to retain definition at high saturation levels: tight lows, present mids, and precise highs, with a 3-position selector to quickly switch from the bridge's sharpness to a rounder neck tone. The deliberately simple electronics (a single volume control) get straight to the point and preserve the percussive aspect of playing.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

The guitar comes factory-equipped with Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 2221 strings in gauge .010-.046: you can use the exact same set to maintain the feel and tension balance. A SGR-1C hard case is available as an option (sold separately) for secure transport.
