A Schecter "superstrat" designed for shredding and the stage
In the spirit of fast and cutting guitars, this Schecter adopts a performance-oriented approach: immediate playability, locking hardware, and active electronics. The choice of a Floyd Rose and the EMG/Sustainiac combo clearly positions the instrument on the side of powerful, precise, and spectacular sounds, with a true "lead" vocation for both stage and studio.
For which guitarists and styles?
This electric guitar is primarily aimed at intermediate to expert guitarists who want low action, comfortable bends, and rock-solid tuning stability. It excels in metal, hard rock, modern rock, but also in more atmospheric registers thanks to the Sustainiac, ideal for singing leads, pads, and controlled harmonics.
The tone
The mahogany body provides a dense sonic foundation, with present mids and generous lows, perfect for supporting distortion. The maple neck adds definition and attack, helping to keep notes clear even with high gain. On the electronics side, the EMG Retro Active Hot 70 humbucker delivers a powerful and clear sound, while the Sustainiac opens the door to prolonged note sustain and very expressive textures. Together with the Floyd Rose, this setup favors precise, punchy, and very "lead" playing.
Recommended compatible accessories
To stay as close as possible to the original setup, an Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky 2222 set in .009-.046 is recommended. The guitar can also be transported with the SGR-UNIVERSAL GUITAR gig bag (sold separately). Also plan for a 9V battery for the active electronics.
