An "Evil Twin" Designed for the SLS Elite Series
New to the SLS Elite range, the Evil Twin follows the performance-oriented guitar codes: neck-through construction, selected materials, and ergonomics designed for fast and accurate playing. The carbon fiber reinforcement adds real tuning stability, while the truss rod adjustment wheel simplifies daily tweaks, saving time between sessions.
For Which Guitarist and Styles?
This 6-string electric guitar is primarily aimed at intermediate to expert guitarists seeking a reliable machine for studio and stage. Its long scale length and 24 frets support both standard tunings and tighter modern tunings, with excellent note-by-note clarity. It excels in metal, modern rock, hard rock, and all styles requiring precise rhythm and clear leads across the entire neck.
The Sound
The neck-through design provides generous sustain and a seamless feel under the fingers, ideal for bends and solo lines that need to "hold" effortlessly. The combination of ash (sharp attack, clean low end) and flamed maple (definition and presence) helps maintain precision even with high gain. On the electronics side, the Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers offer fast response, tight lows, and controlled highs: perfect for tight palm mutes, complex chords, and harmonics that cut through without fuzziness.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To stay as close as possible to the original specifications, plan for one or two sets of Ernie Ball Regular Slinky 2221 strings in .010-.046. A microfiber cloth is also useful to preserve the satin finish and keep the hardware clean after each session.
