Sound Characteristics

Swamp ash delivers a sharp attack, solid lows, and well-present highs, with dynamics that respond very well to both fingerstyle and pick playing. The maple neck, reinforced with walnut and carbon, enhances stability and transient precision, while the ebony fingerboard emphasizes definition and bite, particularly useful on a 5-string.

Schecter USA M-50 and Schecter USA P-50 pickups offer a palette ranging from punch and attack to a meatier low-mid, with a blend control for fine character adjustment. The Darkglass Tone Capsule EQ powered at 18V favors a modern shaping: firm lows, adjustable mids to cut through the mix, and upper-mids for articulation and presence, all while maintaining headroom before saturation.
