A Solo-II Designed for Modern Playing, in the Spirit of Classic Single Cuts
With the Solo-II, Schecter offers an electric guitar in a single cut format tailored for musicians seeking an instrument that is both elegant and effective. The combination of a mahogany body, bolt-on neck, and fixed bridge emphasizes note sustain, precision, and dynamic response, while maintaining a familiar feel for fans of single cut guitars.
Who Is It For, and What Styles?
This Schecter is especially aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists looking for quick playability (thin C profile, jumbo frets) and simple, straightforward electronics that are easy to dial in both rehearsal and on stage. The humbuckers are perfect for rock, hard rock, metal, and sustained lead tones, while remaining credible in crunch and punchy clean sounds thanks to separate volume controls (neck and bridge) and tone control.
Sound Characteristics
The mahogany body provides dense mids, warm tone, and natural sustain, helping riffs stay full and solos to "sing." The Burl top mainly contributes to aesthetics while also adding a crisp attack depending on setup and the instrument's overall response. The fixed Tune-O-Matic bridge enhances stability, intonation accuracy, and note sustain, a real plus for solid tuning and palm muting. On the electronics side, the two Schecter Diamond Standard humbuckers (passive) deliver a solid output level, tight lows, and present highs, with a 3-position selector to instantly switch from a tight rhythm sound (bridge) to a rounder lead tone (neck), or a blend of both.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
For transport, the guitar can be paired with the SGR-SOLO-II gig bag (sold separately, optional). For daily use, a set of 6-string electric guitar strings, a strap, and picks will be perfectly suitable.
