The Stiletto Philosophy: Modernity, Ergonomics, and Powerful Electronics

The Stiletto range stands out with a decidedly contemporary approach: sleek lines, fast playability, and electronics designed for performance. This multi-scale version fully embodies this spirit by adding the stability and definition typical of the "fan-fret" design, while maintaining comfortable handling for bassists who move seamlessly between rehearsals, studio, and stage.

Who Is It For, and What Styles?

This bass is primarily aimed at intermediate to advanced bassists seeking a modern, precise, and versatile instrument. The multi-scale design is particularly comfortable for pick playing, fast runs, and low-end lines requiring sustain, making it highly relevant for rock, metal, fusion, modern funk, and contemporary music styles demanding attack and clarity in the mix.

Sound

The combination of mahogany (body) and bubinga (top) provides a very effective balance: mahogany delivers generous low-mids and a warm foundation, while bubinga enhances attack and clarity. The two EMG 35HZ humbuckers produce a dense and even signal, ideal for clean lows and controlled highs. The active electronics with 3-band EMG EQ allow fine adjustment of the tonal footprint (foundation, presence, brightness) without losing dynamics, and the pickup balance control facilitates switching from a round tone to a more biting sound. Finally, the multi-scale 863-889 mm improves note sustain in the low register, with a more consistent tension feel across the strings.

Recommended Compatible Accessories

To stay as close as possible to the specifications, you can opt for the Ernie Ball 4 String Super Long 2849 strings (original setup) and provide 2 x 9V batteries to power the active electronics. If you want to protect the instrument, the SGR-5SB gig bag is recommended as a separately sold option.
