Schott Lenain Armand - Solfèges Vol.1

Summary of this workbook

Lenain Armand - Solfèges Vol.1 is a 76-page music theory workbook. This first volume is intended for anyone looking for a resource dedicated to the language of music. It naturally takes its place among the study materials used to support learning, alongside instrumental practice and the study of musical notation.

Music theory helps put words and reference points to what we play, read, or hear. Studying it contributes to a more conscious relationship with the score: taking the time to observe the notation, identify the elements to work on, and revisit a difficulty are all useful habits for any musician.

As part of this approach, a workbook can provide a useful framework for organising practice sessions. With a teacher, it can be incorporated into a programme adapted to the student’s needs. At home, it provides a resource to return to between lessons, according to the instructions and objectives established during the learning process.

To get the most out of music theory practice, it is best to favour regular, focused sessions rather than rushing through the material. Revisiting a passage, checking one’s understanding, and making connections with one’s musical practice are all approaches to be adapted with the teacher, depending on the topics covered.

The Vol.1 designation makes it possible to identify this volume precisely when preparing a list of music supplies or following an educational recommendation. For a purchase intended for a lesson, remember to match the title and volume number with the teacher’s request.
