EW-DX: the "network-ready" evolution of the Evolution Wireless Digital range
Designed for modern live productions and current audio infrastructures, EW-DX builds on the fundamentals of Evolution Wireless Digital by adding native IP integration and rapid deployment features. The EW-DX SK/SKM-S BASE SET (S2-10) provides a versatile foundation for building a professional wireless microphone fleet: a 2-channel half-rack receiver for the control room, plus two complementary transmitters (one handheld and one bodypack) to cover voice, presentation, or use with lavalier and headset microphones.
Note: microphone capsules for the handheld transmitter are sold separately, allowing you to select the sound signature and polar pattern best suited to your stage, performer, or specifications.

Does the Sennheiser EW-dx SK/SKM-S Base Set include a microphone capsule?
The handheld transmitter is supplied without a microphone capsule. A compatible capsule must be chosen separately according to the desired pickup pattern and sound signature.

Can a lavalier microphone be used with this wireless system?
The pack includes a bodypack transmitter SK, designed for use with lavalier or headset microphones. It also includes a handheld transmitter SKM-S for vocal applications.
Does the EW-DX receiver support Dante?
Two Ethernet ports allow network integration, including Dante, with an RJ-45 connection compatible with 100Base-TX and CAT5e or higher cable. The two-channel receiver can also be powered via PoE IEEE 802.3af Class 0. The audio output reaches a maximum of 18 dBu.
What is the battery life of the wireless transmitters?
With the included rechargeable BA 70 batteries, the operating time can reach up to 12 hours. The transmitters also accept two 1.5 V AA batteries.
