A Lavalier Microphone Designed for Mobile Recording and Content Creation
The XS Lav Mobile fits within the "plug-and-record" solutions: a lavalier microphone that is easy to install, designed to immediately improve the quality of vocal recordings on smartphones, tablets, or computers. Where a device's built-in microphone may lack proximity, definition, or consistency, a lavalier placed near the mouth delivers a more direct, stable, and professional sound while remaining discreet on camera.
Its positioning is clear: to offer an accessible and effective solution for creators who want clean sound without the hassle of an audio interface, wireless transmitter, or complex setup. An ideal approach for lightweight shoots, impromptu interviews, and quick recording sessions.
Who Is It For and What Are Its Uses?
The XS Lav Mobile is aimed at videographers, podcasters, journalists, trainers, and musicians who record spoken voice and seek a fast setup with an audible gain in intelligibility. It is particularly suitable for interviews, vlogs, podcasts, voice-overs, online courses, and on-the-go dialogue capture.
Thanks to its omnidirectional pickup pattern, it remains tolerant to movement: the voice stays consistent even if the person slightly turns or changes posture. This is a valuable asset for "on-the-fly" recordings, on-camera presentations, or two-person exchanges where the focus is on content rather than technicalities.

Used with a 30-watt Giecy voice amplifier, compared to an entry-level lavalier microphone under €10 or the headband microphone that comes with the amplifier, the difference is slim (slightly less sensitive to feedback, slightly less sensitive to feedback, slightly less background noise, slightly less background noise and picks up the voice a bit better). But I was hoping for a higher level of quality, given the reputation of the Sennheiser brand, although I was fully aware of being in the presence of “first price” equipment in these brands.
In the end, I am a bit disappointed...Automatically translated
