Designed as a true journey back in time, the Antiquity Retrospec'd neck aims to deliver the unmistakable 1955 P.A.F. tone as if it had been played for decades. Made at the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop, it uses selected processes and materials closely matching the original specifications to offer an expressive, lively, and naturally "singing" pickup on a Les Paul-style guitar.

A Neck Position That Sings: Warmth, Clarity, and Articulation

In the neck position, this humbucker provides a rather soft yet never muffled tone, with a very balanced frequency response. The lows remain round and enveloping, while the mids retain great definition for blues, rock, and crunchy sounds. The specifically aged Alnico II magnet delivers a smooth attack, natural musicality, and articulation that highlights complex chords as well as solo phrases.

Design Choices Faithful to the Originals

The magnets and coils are aged to simulate the wear of a pickup that has "lived," but without the relic aesthetic typical of classic Antiquity models.
