An "Alnico II Pro" signature designed for expressive playing
The Alnico II Pro series is appreciated for its musical response and natural warmth, perfect for those who want a pickup that "sings" without harshness. In the Slash version, the set APH-2n (neck) and APH-2b (bridge) aims for a very inspiring balance: smoothness under the fingers in clean, and controlled attack as soon as you increase the gain.
Who is it for, and for what? From rounded clean to vintage lead
These humbuckers are aimed at guitarists seeking a vintage tone with real playing comfort: rich and full chords in clean sound, dynamic and touch-sensitive blues, and singing leads with good sustain. The neck pickup favors round and expressive textures, while the bridge pickup provides the presence and precision needed for riffs and solos in distortion, without harshening the high end.
Sound character: solid bass, precision in distortion, roundness in clean
The strength of the Seymour Duncan APH-2 pickups is their ability to maintain a balanced sound across several registers. In clean, the output remains rounded and musical, ideal for jazzy lines or warm arpeggios. In crunch and distortion, the response gains power while keeping good definition, with well-grounded bass and a sustain feel that highlights vibratos and bends.
