The "Slash Alnico II Pro": vintage grain, designed for musicality
The APH-2n "Slash Alnico II Pro" fits within the spirit of revisited vintage humbuckers: a pickup that favors dynamics, touch, and harmonic richness rather than an overly aggressive output. In the neck position, it highlights playing nuances, from velvety cleans to classic saturations, with a very "organic" response.
Who is this neck pickup for?
Designed for guitarists seeking a warm yet clear neck tone, this humbucker excels in jazz chords, bluesy licks, and singing rock solos. It is particularly suitable for single cut or double cut guitars equipped with humbuckers when you want a round sound that remains articulated even at moderate gain.
Sound character and design: warmth, clarity, and interference reduction
Thanks to its Alnico II magnet, this pickup offers silkier highs and softer lows, with emphasized mids for a natural presence in the mix. The 1-conductor (braided shielded) wiring favors simplicity and reliability, and means no coil split. The whole design aims to limit unwanted noise, preserving a clean and musical signal both on stage and in the studio.
