A Humbucker Inspired by a 1959 Les Paul... with More Bite
Blazing solos with a taste for what "lifts" the sound, Billy Gibbons has always sought a lively and expressive tone. The "Pearly Gates" set born from his precious 1959 Les Paul has become a reference for P.A.F. lovers, but some guitars in his collection required a higher output to regain his signature attack. The Hades Gates takes this vintage base and propels it into a more aggressive territory while retaining a true classic humbucker personality.
More Output, More Bite: The Bridge Pickup Built for Riffs and Leads
In the bridge position, the Hades Gates emphasizes punchy mids and presence that helps the guitar cut through the mix. The increased output naturally drives your amp's gain stage for burning, bluesy, and thick textures without excessive compression. Ideal if you're looking for a bridge humbucker that can go from tight cleans to creamy crunch, then to singing leads, with dynamic response always at your fingertips.
Handcrafted and Versatile Wiring
Handmade in Santa Barbara, California, this humbucker comes with a 4-conductor cable to easily explore coil splitting, series/parallel configurations, or custom combinations. Its short mounting tabs facilitate installation on guitars that require them while maintaining a clean and reliable setup.
