An Invader Designed for Power: a "high output" benchmark from Seymour Duncan

The Seymour Duncan Invader SH-8 has established itself as a go-to choice whenever big sound is needed. Designed to deliver an enormous output level, it is among the most powerful passive pickups on the market: you get the feel of a pickup that "pushes" hard without losing the organic character of a passive.

Who is it for, and in which context is it best used?

In bridge position, this 7-string humbucker is tailored for metal and modern guitarists seeking stability in low tunings, precise rhythm, and dense saturation. It excels on heavy rhythms, cutting leads, and all registers where impact and presence must remain front and center, even with high gain.

What makes the difference: ceramic magnets, wide magnetic field, and black metal cover

The combination of three ceramic magnets, a high-quality winding, and a wide magnetic field allows the SH-8 to deliver a powerful and balanced response across all 7 strings. The result: a firm low end, pronounced attack, and an aggressive tone perfectly suited for metal. The offered version features a black metal cover for a sleek and brutal look, matching modern guitars.
