A New Step in Slash’s Sonic Signature

Slash 3.0 is part of the long-standing collaboration between Slash and Seymour Duncan, which has lasted nearly forty years. Following the first signature humbuckers inspired by the tones of " Appetite for Destruction ", and then the Slash 2.0 models designed for large stages, this 3.0 version goes even further in terms of power.

Conceived at Slash’s request for the " Back to the Beginning " concert, held in tribute to Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath, this set met a specific need: to provide a higher output level on an SG-style guitar while preserving the guitarist’s nuances and sonic identity.

This set is aimed at rock and hard rock guitarists looking to drive a tube amp, an overdrive pedal, or an already well-defined gain chain more effectively. It works equally well for massive, punchy riffs and singing solos, with a dynamic response that preserves variations in picking technique, whether played with a pick or fingers.

Thanks to its additional power, Slash 3.0 naturally fits a range of guitars equipped with humbuckers. It delivers a denser, more immediate sound, which is particularly appreciated in rehearsals, on stage, or in a busy mix.

Tight Bass, Fast Attack, and Enhanced Definition

Equipped with Alnico 5 magnets, the Slash 3.0 pickups deliver tight bass that avoids a muddy effect under heavy saturation. The attack is faster, while the higher output level provides more bite and sustain to make every note stand out.

Despite this additional gain headroom, the set retains an open, honest representation of the guitar’s character. Its 4-conductor wiring expands installation options and allows for more customized configurations depending on the instrument’s electronics.
