Hot Rails: The Humbucker Spirit Without Losing Tele Ergonomics
The STHR-1S set combines a STHR-1B (bridge) and a STHR-1N (neck) to provide a beefier response than traditional single coils, while maintaining a clean installation without heavy modifications. It's the ideal choice if you love the comfort and attack of a Telecaster but want a gain and saturation reserve worthy of humbuckers.
Who Is It For and What Sounds Can You Expect?
If your Telecaster lacks "body" in distortion or if you're looking for dense rhythms that remain clear in the mix, Hot Rails are made for you. On the neck, expect a full and warm register, very effective for both rhythm and solo playing. On the bridge, the pickup pushes hard with a tight low end and present mids to cut through the band.
Rails, Ceramic Magnet, and 4-Conductor Wiring: The Set Designed for Gain
Each pickup uses a dual blade architecture: string contact remains consistent even with heavy bends, and the sustain feel is enhanced. The ceramic magnet delivers a sharper attack and a more aggressive response, perfect for modern saturations. Thanks to the 4-conductor cable, you can also expand your tonal palette: coil split for more bite, or parallel wiring for added clarity, depending on your wiring scheme.

Questions frequently asked
Are Hot Rails Tele pickups compatible with a Telecaster without major modification?
The Tele-sized format of these humbuckers allows a clean installation on a Telecaster without the need for major modification.
What sound does the Seymour Duncan STHR-1S Hot Rails Tele offer?
In the neck position, the STHR-1N delivers a full and warm tone. At the bridge, the STHR-1B provides tight lows and prominent mids. The ceramic magnet boosts attack for modern saturated sounds.
What is the resistance of the Hot Rails Tele pickups?
The DC resistance is 16 kOhm at the bridge and 10.9 kOhm at the neck.
Can the Seymour Duncan Hot Rails Tele pickups be coil-split?
Thanks to the 4-conductor shielded cable, it is possible to wire them for coil-splitting or parallel wiring according to the chosen scheme.
Do the rails maintain a consistent level during bends?
The double blade design ensures even string contact during strong bends. Each pickup is wax potted, an anti-feedback treatment suitable for high gain levels.
