A Shure Stand Designed for "Difficult" Placements and Loaded Setups

The Shure SH-TRIPODSTANDLP was developed for situations where a standard stand becomes cumbersome or lacks stability near the floor. Its low-profile design addresses stage constraints (pedals, monitors, cabling, foot traffic) while remaining perfectly suited for studio use when you need to lock microphone positioning to the millimeter in front of a bass drumhead or an amp grille. With its steel construction coated in black powder, it aims for long-term durability and discreet appearance under stage lighting.

Who Is It For and What Are Its Uses?

This microphone stand is intended for sound engineers, stage technicians, musicians, and home studio users seeking a reliable solution to capture sources close to the ground or requiring a precise angle of attack. It is particularly suited for bass drum recording (microphone placed as close as possible to the port or inside depending on the setup), guitar amps (on-axis or off-axis positioning), and more broadly for any application where a conventional stand would be too tall or unstable. Its compact and foldable base also facilitates transport and quick assembly/disassembly during stage changes.

Fast, Stable, and Secure Positioning

Height Adjustable with Ergonomic Rotary Clamp

The SH-TRIPODSTANDLP features a rotary locking handle designed to adjust height effortlessly and securely lock the setting in place. The adjustment range (50.8 to 59.7 cm) is ideal for "low" captures: you stay within an efficient working zone without adding segments or compromising stand rigidity.

Telescopic Boom to Target the Capture Area

The telescopic boom section provides the necessary flexibility to place the microphone exactly where you need it. You can reach the capture point of a cabinet without excessively moving the base into a traffic area, or adjust distance/angle on a bass drum while maintaining a stable footing. The result: finer, faster, and more reproducible placement from session to session.

Foldable Tripod, Non-Slip Feet, and Low-Light Visibility

On stage as well as in the studio, stability depends as much on the structure as on ground contact. The foldable tripod is equipped with non-slip rubber feet to reduce slipping on smooth surfaces. Shure adds a removable white trim on the feet: a very useful detail in low-light environments to quickly locate the stand and secure the area around microphones.
