An Electro-Acoustic 000 Designed for Versatility
With the 000ME, Sigma focuses on a folk lutherie classic: the 000 format, appreciated for its balance and ease of handling. This "ME" version adds discreet and practical Sigma electronics, allowing an easy transition from acoustic to plugged-in playing without losing the instrument's natural identity.
For Which Guitarists and Styles?
The Sigma 000ME is especially aimed at beginner to intermediate guitarists seeking a comfortable and reliable electro-acoustic, while remaining relevant for more advanced musicians who want an easy-to-handle 000 format. It is well suited for fingerstyle, blues, pop, and singer-songwriter accompaniment, offering a balanced sound that integrates easily in both group and solo settings.
Sound
The solid Sitka spruce top provides clarity, precision, and a great dynamic range: the instrument responds equally well to light attacks and stronger strums. The mahogany back and sides complement the overall tone with a warm character, present mids, and natural sustain, ideal for clean rhythms and clear arpeggios. The 000 format promotes a very homogeneous bass-treble balance, while the bone nut and bone saddle contribute to a crisper attack and better vibration transmission. When plugged in, the Sigma EQ maintains a usable and controlled sound, with the built-in tuner saving time between songs.
