A V3 Designed as the Ideal Entry into the Sire by Marcus Miller Universe
In the V series, the V3 2nd Generation embodies the "Jazz Bass" spirit revisited: an accessible instrument built around key elements that make a difference daily (carefully crafted neck, complete electronics, effective hardware). Approved by Marcus Miller, it aims for a modern approach to versatility, with refined ergonomics and a tonal palette that easily adapts to your playing.
For Whom and Which Styles?
The Marcus Miller V3 2nd Generation targets demanding beginners as well as intermediate players who want a bass capable of supporting their progress. Its Jazz format and electronic configuration make it particularly comfortable in funk, jazz, pop, rock, R&B, and gospel, with the ability to quickly switch from a round, mellow tone to a more percussive attack.
The Sound
The mahogany body provides a natural foundation, with consistent lows and warm mids, while the maple neck adds precision and attack, very useful for articulated lines. The rosewood fingerboard completes the setup with a softer response and comfortable playing feel, enhanced by the rolled edges.
On the electronics side, the Marcus Standard J-Revolution set delivers the "J" character: definition, dynamics, and right-hand nuances. The Marcus Heritage-3 preamp with mid-frequency control allows fine-tuning of the mids to stand out in the mix, sculpt a percussive slap, or thicken a fingerstyle tone. The mini toggle Active/Passive and Pickup Blender facilitate register changes without interrupting playing.
Recommended Compatible Accessories
To complete your bass, you can add a strap (with standard ends), a 6.35 mm instrument jack cable for amp connection, and a bass stand for storage at home or in the studio. A tuner (clip-on or pedal) is also a reliable choice to ensure tuning accuracy during rehearsals and on stage.
