This enhanced version brings mastery levels that extend uses far beyond a simple compression effect. The high-pass and low-pass filters allow you to precisely target what triggers and what undergoes compression: for example, you can prevent an overly present low end from pumping the whole mix, or conversely emphasize the impact of a specific frequency range.
