What FlexVerb Is For

FlexVerb is a reverb plugin designed to create realistic or creative spaces while remaining easy to place in a modern mix. It is suitable for both music production (vocals, guitars, synths, drums) and sound design, thanks to an approach that combines versatile reverb algorithms, fine control of decay by frequency bands, and dynamic tools designed to preserve the impact of the direct signal.

Whether you are looking for a short and precise room to add presence, a spacious hall to widen a chorus, a dense plate for vocals, or a more organic chamber, FlexVerb aims for a quickly usable result, with settings that promote clarity and coherence in the production.

Main Features

Reflection Type and Size: From Realism to Immersion

FlexVerb offers four reverb signatures (Room, Hall, Plate, Chamber), each available in three sizes (Small, Medium, Large), for a total of nine distinct processing algorithms. You can link the type and size to apply common parameters, or unlink them to independently adjust early reflections and the reverb tail. This approach is ideal for maintaining a clear attack while deploying a broader depth in the background.

An Infinity switch allows setting an infinite reverb time, perfect for generating pads, drones, and massive textures. Conversely, the tail stop switch facilitates sharp cut effects and more rhythmic transitions.

3-Band Tail Control: Sculpt the Decay Without "Breaking" the Timbre

The reverb tail is divided into three frequency bands with adjustable crossover points. Each band has its dedicated reverb time, allowing you to extend the air in the high spectrum without muddying the lows, or conversely keep the bass clean while lengthening the mids. This shaping method aims for a more natural result than using an EQ alone, as it directly affects how the space dissipates.

6-Band EQ + Sidechain Dynamics: A Reverb That Stays in Place in the Mix

In addition to the 3-band time multipliers, FlexVerb includes a 6-band equalizer applied to the tail to define the overall color of the reverb. You have two parametric bands, low-shelf and high-shelf bands, as well as high-pass and low-pass filters, to clean, brighten, or thicken the space without affecting the dry signal.

An output compressor with sidechain (fed by the dry input signal) allows the reverb to recede when the source plays, then breathe between phrases. Nine presets set attack, release, and ratio, with an adjustable threshold, useful for placing large spaces clearly and distinctly in a busy mix. The lockable dry/wet mix helps secure your balance while adjusting other parameters.

Graphical Display: Understand and Adjust What You Hear

The graphical display highlights an FFT analysis with persistence to visualize the impact of settings on the tone and shape of the reverb. The equalization curve is modified via interactive circular nodes, while crossover points and time multiplier values are adjusted from square nodes. The result: a fast workflow, particularly effective for "nailing" a reverb in a dense production or exploring more extreme textures.
