Vocalstrip 2 combines essential vocal processing in a single interface: it includes a Compander (hybrid expander/compressor) to stabilize dynamics and bring the voice forward, a De-Esser to control sibilance, a De-Ploser to limit "p", "b", and proximity effect impacts, and a 3-band equalizer designed to quickly shape a voice without making it harsh. The result: fewer stacked plug-ins, more coherence, and real-time time savings during the session.

Unlike fixed strips, the processing order is user-definable. For example, you can EQ before compressing to control a resonance, or compress before the EQ to give the voice a consistent foundation. This flexibility helps you find the "right path" faster depending on the take, microphone, singing distance, and arrangement.

Intelligent, more transparent De-Esser and De-Ploser

The De-Esser and De-Ploser modules rely on dynamic-based processing with lookahead functionality to precisely detect artifacts without damaging the tonality. Each module offers a split mode and a broadband mode to tailor the reduction: targeted processing on a specific area or a more global action depending on the nature of the sibilance or plosive. Integrated analysis (gain reduction, histogram) allows fine dosing and avoids over-processing.

Measurements, presets, and A/B comparison for faster mixing

Each processor benefits from real-time visual feedback (including FFT and EQ curve) to make quick and reliable decisions, even in a dense mix. The plug-in includes numerous presets inspired by top mixing engineers and a preset management system to easily recall your settings from session to session. The A/B function allows instant comparison of two settings to validate processing without bias.
