Historical Context and Positioning in the Range
Designed as a premium drumhead, this "smooth white" version targets drummers and percussionists seeking a clear response and musical control of sustain. Its single-ply approach emphasizes sensitivity and dynamics while remaining sturdy enough for regular use on drums and percussion.
Who This Drum/Instrument Is For
This drumhead is aimed at demanding beginners as well as intermediate and advanced musicians who want a responsive head that is easy to tune and suited for styles where definition is essential. It is also very well suited for Brazilian percussion, where attack and projection need to stay clear in the mix.
Features and Innovations
Thanks to its single-ply 10 mil construction, the head reacts immediately to light strokes as well as accents, with good ghost note articulation on the snare. As a batter head for snare and toms, it provides responsiveness and precise attack. As a resonant head for toms, it promotes a medium, musical, and even sustain, ideal for clean tom tuning.
Sound
The smooth white finish highlights a clear attack and natural presence while maintaining moderate note sustain. On toms, the sound remains open and balanced with good projection. On snare, the articulation is immediate and the medium sustain helps keep a lively sound without excessive ringing.
