Questions frequently asked
Is this hook compatible with a 7.5 mm wooden hoop?
Compatibility is designed for a wooden hoop thickness up to 7.5 mm. A thicker wooden hoop does not match the specified dimension.
Can this hook be mounted on a bass drum?
This hook is intended for the bass drum. It is also suitable for wooden hoops of snare drums and toms.
What are the dimensions of the Sparedrum DC16?
The stated width is 33 mm and the depth 28 mm. These dimensions correspond to the hook intended to hold a wooden hoop.
Is the DC16 hook made of chrome-plated steel?
The construction is based on steel, with a gray chrome finish.
Does a wooden hoop hook improve tuning stability?
Regular support on the hoop contributes to a more even tension of the drumhead. The response can thus gain clarity, with better-controlled sustain. On a wooden hoop, this support limits micro-shifts during strong strikes.
