This version is an UPG (upgrade/update): it is intended for users who already own a required previous version, namely Omnisphere 2. This UPG version enables the upgrade from Omnisphere 2 to Omnisphere 3. Possession of an eligible Omnisphere 2 license must be validated according to the publisher's procedures before activation.
Which plugin formats are supported on Mac and Windows?
On Mac, compatibility includes AU hosts, VST 2.4 or higher, and AAX compatible formats. On Windows, supported formats are VST 2.4 or higher and AAX compatible, all in 64-bit architecture.
Can personal samples be imported into Omnisphere 3 UPG?
The Import Audio module allows the use of personal recordings as audio sources. These sounds can then be transformed using the synthesis engines and internal modulation.
What computer specifications are required?
A processor of 2.4 GHz or higher, 8 GB of RAM recommended, and 64 GB of free disk space are required. Announced compatibility starts from macOS OS X 10.13 High Sierra and Windows 7.
How many arpeggiators and oscillators are available per patch?
Up to 10 DSP or sampled oscillators can be used per patch. The architecture also includes 8 independent arpeggiators with Groove Lock, 6 LFOs, and 8 ADSR or multi-breakpoint envelopes.
