The Essentials to Know About the Squier Classic Vibe Custom Telecaster SH with Bigsby

  • Immediate versatility thanks to the SH configuration: alnico single coil at the bridge for twang, alnico humbucker at the neck for rounder, more powerful tones.

  • Bigsby B50 vibrato for subtle and expressive effects, perfect for adding movement to chords and leads.

  • Vintage "Custom" look with double-bound body, nickel hardware, and aesthetics inspired by 50s/60s Telecasters.

  • Modern comfort: "C" profile, 9.5" / 241 mm radius, and Narrow Tall frets for smooth playability.

A Classic Vibe with a "double binding" spirit: the charm of 50s/60s Teles

This Classic Vibe Custom Telecaster follows the lineage of the "Custom" double-bound Tele models that marked the golden age of Fender electric guitars. Squier embraces the retro aesthetic codes (glossy finish, era-inspired headstock markings, nickel hardware) while offering a pickup configuration designed to cover a wide sonic spectrum, from the typical Tele snap to the warmth of a humbucker.

For which guitarists and styles

This Telecaster suits both serious beginners and intermediate players looking for a vintage-style electric guitar that is easy to tame daily. The single coil plus humbucker combination makes it comfortable in rock, indie, blues, pop, country, and even more saturated tones, while retaining the attack and precision expected from a Tele.

The sound

The alnico single coil bridge pickup delivers brightness, attack, and that "biting" character ideal for sharp rhythms and incisive leads. Conversely, the alnico humbucker in the neck position offers a warmer response, with more body and better sustain under distortion. The 3-position selector switch (bridge, both, neck) and the volume plus tone controls allow quick shifts between registers, while the Bigsby opens the door to smooth and musical vibratos, particularly effective on open chords and melodic lines.
