The "Conservatoire" Range: A Serious Step in the Stentor Universe

Renowned for the consistency of its student violins, Stentor offers instruments designed to support the student over time. This "Conservatoire" version positions itself as a more demanding choice than an entry-level model: selected materials, careful adjustments, and a design focused on playability, to practice accurately, cleanly, and with greater nuance.

For Which Musician and Styles?

This 3/4 acoustic violin is mainly aimed at beginner to intermediate students (often in music schools or conservatories) who want a reliable, stable, and pleasant instrument for daily use. It is perfectly suited for the classical repertoire (studies, pieces, first sonatas), but also for more cross-genre practices such as traditional music or folk, where attack precision and note sustain remain essential.

Sound

The spruce top promotes a quick response and beautiful clarity, valuable for articulation and intonation. The flamed maple back and ribs provide structure and projection, with a well-present midrange and good string definition. The ebony elements (fingerboard, pegs, chinrest) contribute to a solid feel under the fingers, while the adjusted bridge and synthetic strings help achieve a more stable and homogeneous sound, ideal for working on pitch accuracy and dynamics.
