Developed in close collaboration with John Petrucci, the Sterling by Music Man Majesty 200 incorporates the essential codes of the iconic model: a decidedly modern approach focused on performance, and an aesthetic refined down to the sculpted top. Depending on the version, the tonewoods vary (mahogany or nyatoh, with maple veneer options), while maintaining the spirit of a stage guitar designed for quick response, tuning stability, and comfort during long sessions.

The Majesty 200 is mainly aimed at intermediate to advanced guitarists seeking a stable and precise electric guitar for modern playing. Its long scale and 24 frets make it ideal for progressive rock, metal, fusion, and all contexts requiring articulated rhythms, fluid leads, and full access to the upper neck. It also remains very comfortable with rounder, more expressive tones when lowering the volume or adjusting the tone control.

Sound

The dual humbucker combination of LiquiFire (neck) and Crunch Lab (bridge) pickups delivers a Petrucci-typical palette: a warm, silky, and precise neck pickup for solos and wide chords, and a more aggressive, dense, and cutting bridge pickup for palm mutes and tight riffs. The ebony fingerboard provides a clear attack and excellent note definition, especially useful with gain. The modern tremolo adds expressiveness (vibratos, dives) while maintaining quick response, and the set-in design promotes generous sustain and a seamless feel across the entire neck.
