Inspired by the great analog phasers of the 1970s (4 and 6 stages), Zelzah revisits these iconic textures with Strymon's digital precision and ergonomics tailored for the modern stage. It continues the brand's modulation lineage by offering a decidedly high-end approach focused on creativity.

Controls, Routing, and Connectivity to Go Further
On the 4-stage side, three sweep modes (Classic, Barber, Env) range from organic phasing to vibrato, including an ultra-responsive envelope follower. On the 6-stage side, the Voice knob simultaneously controls over 30 parameters for a continuous transition from phaser to flanger to chorus, with depth, speed, mix, and resonance at your fingertips. Two independent footswitches, an instrument/line input level selector, choice of true or buffered bypass, and an adjustable "Stereo Spread" complete a very flexible core sound. Stereo inputs/outputs, an EXP jack for expression/MIDI TRS, and USB-C ensure full integration with your rig and DAW.
Sound Character
Zelzah delivers a wide, three-dimensional, and silky phasing that respects attack while enriching the harmonic image. The 6-stage section adds "air" and width, up to lush choruses, while the envelope on the 4-stage side finely reacts to your playing for funk, pop, or fusion grooves. The 24-bit/96 kHz resolution and JFET front end preserve dynamics and transparency, from ethereal ambient to vintage rock.

Does the Strymon Zelzah operate in stereo?
The internal stereo operation provides each channel with its own 4- and 6-stage phasers. The sections can be routed in parallel or in series. The stereo spread is adjustable independently for each section.
What power supply is required for this pedal?
The pedal requires a 9 V DC power supply with center negative, a minimum capacity of 300 mA, and a high-quality isolated output is recommended.
Does the pedal accept an expression pedal and MIDI?
Through the EXP jack, an expression pedal or TRS-format MIDI can be used. The USB-C port allows integration with a digital audio workstation. The audio inputs and outputs are stereo.
How to adjust the 4-stage phaser?
In the 4-stage section, the Classic, Barber, and Envelope modes offer three types of sweep. The Envelope mode responds to the playing envelope for dynamic modulation effects.
Is it compatible with bass and synths?
The instrument/line input level selector allows use with guitar, bass, keyboards, and synths. The 1 MOhm input impedance and frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz are specified for this integration.
