Essential Information About the Temple Audio Studio Mod Re-Amping/DI Module

  • Dual re-amp + direct box function to record a clean "dry" signal, then re-inject it into your effects/amp chain later.

  • Direct integration with the pedalboard: the module locks onto your Temple Audio Templeboard for a neat, ready-to-wire setup.

  • 2-position "Play/Reamp" selector to quickly switch from recording to re-amplification without changing routing.

  • Balanced XLR "Dry Out" output + active buffer + ground lift to preserve signal clarity and reduce unwanted noise.

A Studio Module at the Heart of the Templeboard Ecosystem

The Temple Audio Studio Mod fits within the logic of "Mod" modules designed to transform a Templeboard into a true connection hub. The idea is simple: keep a pedalboard clean, reliable, and above all ready for recording, without multiplying floor boxes or fragile adapters. By mounting directly on the board, this module centralizes a highly sought-after studio workflow (DI + re-amping) in a format designed for both stage and control room.

For guitarists and bassists who like to refine their tone, it becomes possible to capture an inspired performance immediately, then choose the amp, cabinet, mic (or effects chain) at the right moment, without pressure.

Who Is the Temple Audio Studio Mod For?

The Studio Mod targets musicians and producers who want to secure their takes and save time during mixing: guitarists, bassists, home studio owners, sound engineers, or instrumentalists who alternate between rehearsal, live, and recording sessions.

It is especially suitable if you often record guitar/bass and want to keep an exploitable "dry" track: you can capture a clean signal at the source, then re-amp later through your rig, pedals, and amps once the sonic direction is confirmed.

Play, Reamp, Silence, and Precision: A Module Designed for the Signal

"Play" Mode: Record a Clean "Dry" Signal Without Compromising Your Performance

In "Play" position, the balanced XLR "Dry Out" output sends your "dry" playing signal to the audio interface of your choice. This is a popular studio method: you play naturally, capture a clean track, and keep the freedom to shape the sound later without having to "commit" to an amp, cabinet, or mic on the first take.

"Reamp" Mode: Send a Dry Track from the Interface Back to Your Rig

Switching the selector to "Reamp", the module receives the balanced dry signal from the interface, then sends it back into your chain for re-amplification. You can then test different pedals, amp settings, mic placements, or even multiple sound options while preserving exactly the same performance.

Active Buffer and Noise Management: Keep the Sound Clean and Controlled

The active input buffer preserves signal integrity: clearer attack, better sustained highs, and a more consistent feel-especially in setups where cable lengths, patch cables, and multiple pedals can disrupt precision. The Studio Mod also features ground lift switches to help eliminate hum and ground loops that sometimes occur when connecting pedalboard, audio interface, and amplification.

Finally, its output is specified as balanced and low impedance, a sought-after combination for clear, stable capture that is less sensitive to interference, ensuring a clean and faithful recording.
