A Rack Format Designed for Fixed Control Rooms and Continuous Sound Reinforcement
The MZ-372 is a rackmount mixer developed for installations where reliability, level visibility, and ease of use are priorities. It naturally fits into a technical rack or a compact control room while maintaining a clear control surface: gain controls, faders, equalization, and LED VU meters to keep control over music playback and speech input.
Its design targets operators and integrators who need to manage multiple analog sources (audio players, tuners, cassette decks, etc.) and easily switch between background music and microphone announcements without complex operations or additional peripherals.
Who Is It For and What Are Its Uses?
The MZ-372 is particularly suited to environments requiring multi-source playback and quick sound control : background music in rooms, additional zones, external recording, or subwoofer reinforcement. Thanks to its assignable channels to two main outputs, it facilitates managing multiple spaces (e.g., main room and secondary zone) or multiple amplification circuits.
It is also ideal for venues needing a "ready-to-use" microphone for messages: reception, announcements, hosting, occasional interventions. The front panel mic input and Talkover function allow prioritizing voice over music for immediate intelligibility and smooth daily operation.

Questions frequently asked
Can the Tascam MZ-372 handle multiple audio sources in a fixed installation?
Its 6 stereo channels are assignable to two main outputs and each features a gain control, a fader, a 3-band EQ, and a 5-LED level meter.
Can turntables be connected to this rack-mount mixer?
Three stereo inputs can be switched to Phono mode to connect turntables. The other channels remain available for analog line sources.
How do microphone announcements and Talkover function?
The mono front panel mic input has a level control and a 2-band EQ. The Talkover function automatically lowers the music level according to the voice level, allowing announcements to take priority over the current playback.
Can two broadcast zones be powered separately?
Each main output has an independent level control and a stereo 2 x 10 LED VU meter, enabling control of two separate amplifier circuits.
Is the Sub output used for recording or powering another room?
An independent Sub output, adjustable and switchable between mono or stereo, can feed an external recorder or an additional room.
