A Stage Rack at the Heart of the MIDAS Digital Ecosystem
The DL32 follows the line of MIDAS stage racks, renowned for the musicality of their preamps and the reliability of their network. Designed for modern digital consoles, it centralizes inputs on stage and simplifies long-distance cabling via AES50, while offering digital distribution options suited to current performances.
Who Is It For and What Are Its Uses?
Ideal for tours, festivals, theaters, and fixed installations, the DL32 meets the needs of stage managers and sound engineers seeking a stagebox that is quick to deploy, stable, and expandable. Its wide range of outputs and network connectivity make it a reliable hub for front of house, monitors, and personal monitoring.
Complete Connectivity and Secure Audio Flow
AES50 Network and Redundancy
Two AES50 ports provide bidirectional audio transport of 48 channels at 48kHz. You can set up redundancy to secure the link, or daisy-chain units (for example two DL16s) depending on your stage architecture.
Digital Outputs and Personal Monitoring
The DL32 offers two AES/EBU outputs on XLR3 to feed processors or amplifiers, two ADAT outputs distributing 16 channels via TOSLINK optical connectors, as well as a ULTRANET connection ideal for personal monitor systems.
Control and Integration
A MIDI port allows encapsulating MIDI messages between the console and the stage rack, optimizing show automation. The 48V phantom power is switchable, and the 16 symmetrical outputs on XLR facilitate distribution to monitors, side-fills, or recorders.

Questions frequently asked
Midas DL32: how many channels are transmitted via AES50?
The AES50 connection carries 48 bidirectional channels at 48 kHz. The two ports allow for connection redundancy. They are also used for daisy-chaining units, for example two DL16s.
How many analog outputs are available?
The 16 balanced XLR outputs can be used to feed stage monitors, side fills, or recording devices.
Can the DL32 send audio via ADAT?
Two ADAT outputs on optical TOSLINK connectors carry 16 digital channels.
What are the dimensions of the stage rack?
The 3U format measures 482 x 242 x 138 mm (W x D x H). The listed weight is 5.7 kg.
Does the rack support MIDI and phantom power?
A MIDI connector allows MIDI messages to be encapsulated between the console and the stage rack. 48 V phantom power is switchable on the inputs.
