A Headset Designed for the teenage engineering Portable Ecosystem

The teenage engineering M-1 extends the portable approach of the OP-Z: a compact setup, ready to use as soon as inspiration strikes. When paired with the synthesizer and sequencer, it automatically activates headset mode, making tasks such as vocal sampling easier.

This integration does not limit it to a single instrument. The M-1 can also be used for listening with any audio equipment equipped with a compatible headphone output. It is equally at home in a portable production setup or for listening to music between sessions.

For Mobile Creators and Group Sessions

Want to record a phrase, try out a vocal idea, or prepare a sample while travelling? The M-1 combines listening and recording in a single accessory. Its foldable design makes it easy to store, while its weight of just 150 g makes it well suited to setups that are regularly carried around.

It is also aimed at musicians who enjoy exchanging ideas while creating. On a train, on a bus, or around a sequencer, its daisy-chain connection lets you share a session without using speakers. Everyone keeps their own headphones while following the same audio content.

Two Microphones and Connectivity Suited to Your Setup

Choose the Microphone for the Moment

The microphone integrated into the left earcup remains available for calls or spontaneous voice recording. When you want to position the microphone more precisely in front of your mouth, connect the detachable flexible boom microphone. Its pop filter helps reduce the effects of plosive consonants during vocal recordings.

The headphones have an audio jack on each side. The cable and boom microphone can be connected to either of these ports, allowing you to choose their position according to your setup. The included cable uses 3.5 mm TRRS mini-jack connectors with four contacts.

Share Your Listening Experience and Keep the Controls Close at Hand

The daisy-chain function lets you connect several M-1 headphones to one another. With an OP-Z, the microphone signal activated on one of the headphones is also broadcast to the others. A practical way to communicate and follow a vocal contribution during a group session.

A universal button on the left earcup provides access to the main controls: turning the microphone on or off, answering a call, playback, pause, and track changes. Their availability depends on the connected device and its support for headphone controls.
