A steel-chrome design engineered for endurance
This 4/4 set with "Chrome" gauge is based on a steel cable core, a choice recognized for combining strength, longevity, and consistent response. The design aims for stable intonation and consistent behavior, useful both in rehearsal and on stage.
Intended use and player level
These strings are aimed at double bassists looking for a soft touch and a sense of control, from intermediate to advanced levels. They are suitable for contexts where tuning stability and interval precision (notably the fifth) are priorities.
Sound characteristics
The steel cable core provides a direct response and a clear attack while maintaining appreciable flexibility. This combination promotes stable projection and consistent intonation, with an elasticity that facilitates playing and contributes to timbre consistency over time.
