A Standard Appreciated by Double Bassists
Designed as a "safe bet" choice, these strings aim for a balance between playing comfort and stability. Their design emphasizes quick response and long-lasting tuning, sought after in solo as well as ensemble playing.
Intended Use and Player Level
This set is intended for intermediate to advanced double bassists who use a solo tuning and want medium tension to maintain flexibility under the fingers. Suitable for classical, contemporary contexts, and passages alternating between bowing and pizzicato.
Sound Characteristics
The flexible multi-strand core promotes a quick response and long vibration, useful for legato bowing as well as more singing pizzicato. The low inertia helps achieve precise articulation while maintaining a comfortable touch.
