A Tribute to the TD 124, Designed for Current Hi-Fi Systems
With the TD 404 DD, Thorens delivers a vinyl turntable that embodies the brand's DNA by paying homage to the iconic TD 124, while adopting solutions clearly aimed at the "modern audiophile". Its direct drive motor (derived from the TD 124 DD) targets stable and powerful rotation, while the chassis combines a timeless aesthetic with meticulous anti-vibration design. The Matte Oak finish adds a warm and premium touch, and the TD 404 DD is also available in other finishes (glossy black, walnut wood) to naturally fit various listening environments.
Who Is It For? A Turntable for Demanding Home Listening (and 78 RPM Collections)
The Thorens TD 404 DD is aimed at discerning vinyl enthusiasts who want to step up in playback precision, speed stability, and quiet operation. It is perfectly suited for a quality domestic hi-fi setup (separate phono amplifier or dedicated phono input), as well as for enthusiasts seeking comfortable daily use thanks to the electronic e-Lift and automatic stop. Its access to 33 1/3 RPM, 45 RPM, and 78 RPM speeds also makes it highly relevant for collectors, archives, and vintage records, with sufficiently fine speed control to aim for faithful reproduction.
