Toontrack Rock! EZX is a drum sound library (EZX expansion) designed to produce credible and impactful rock drums quickly within a mix. It is aimed at songwriters, producers, and home studio users who want a ready-to-record sound for classic rock, modern rock, hard rock, pop-rock tracks, or any production requiring drums that "hold" the song, with the right balance of attack, body, and room ambiance.

As an expansion, Rock! EZX loads inside Toontrack EZdrummer or Superior Drummer and allows you to switch from a very room/large character to tighter and more direct kits, depending on the space you want to leave for guitars, vocals, and bass.

Main Features

A rock collection conceived as a "best-of" of characters

Rock! EZX brings together eight kit identities calibrated for different production contexts: modern punch, vintage grain, dry and close sound, or conversely a more open and spacious drum sound. The goal is to give you immediate color choices without spending hours building a sound from scratch.

A studio sound, crafted in the mix

The sounds come from drums recorded in several renowned studios, then selected, re-mixed, and enhanced via outboard chains and sample layers. The result: kits with a strong character, easy to place in a rock arrangement, with clear transients and energy that naturally stands out in the drum bus.

Fast creation with the MIDI library

The expansion includes a MIDI library to build solid rhythmic foundations: you can start from grooves and fills, adapt them to the tempo, rearrange them by sections, and customize (accents, velocities, variations) to fit the verse, chorus, or bridge.
