Transatlantiques Werner J. J. - Sonatine - Guitare

Summary of this Sheet Music

Werner J. J. - Sonatine - Guitar invites you to discover a composition by Jean-Jacques Werner for solo guitar. Published by Éditions Musicales Transatlantiques, this sheet music is an opportunity for guitarists wishing to explore a work from the repertoire rather than a method or exercise collection.

The score includes dynamics, tempo and character markings, as well as fingerings attributed to Geneviève Chanut in the version consulted. These elements provide useful starting points for approaching the musical text and developing an interpretation that is attentive to the composer’s intentions.

To prepare your practice, you can begin by identifying changes of movement, dynamic contrasts and articulations. Then work in short sequences to find comfortable movements before gradually linking the passages together. This approach helps keep the continuity of the musical discourse at the forefront, without limiting your study to simply getting the notes in place.

In guitar lessons, this sonatina can provide a starting point for discussing phrasing, sound balance and fingering choices with your teacher. For individual practice, favour patient reading and regular listening to your playing: record a few phrases, compare your intentions with the result and adjust your interpretation as your sessions progress.
