Zebra 3 is a software synthesizer designed for advanced sound creation and music production in a broad sense: incisive basses, expressive leads, highly detailed additive pads, cinematic textures, synthetic percussion, and timbres inspired by physical modeling (bells, bars, woody resonances). Is Zebra 3 compatible with macOS and which plugin formats are available?

On macOS 10.13 or later, VST3, AU, and AAX formats are supported. An Intel Nehalem processor, Apple M1, or newer is required; AAX requires Pro Tools 10.3.7 or later.

Can additive pads and complex textures be created?

The additive engine can stack up to 1024 sine waves, including with inharmonic partials. Four main oscillators morph between drawable spline shapes and wavetable-style rendering. Unison can reach 16 voices to thicken sounds.

How to program rhythmic modulation sequences?

Four MSEGs offer up to eight morphable curves on a shared timeline, with free loops and Mappers usable as step sequencers via trigger signals.
