The UAD API Vision Channel Strip Collection is used to process a track as if on a console channel strip: you can sculpt the EQ, control dynamics, clean a take with the gate, and shape the spectrum with filters, all without multiplying plug-in instances. It's an ideal tool for rock, pop, hip-hop, funk production and all styles where firm transients, clear attack, and a "console" feel are desired on drums, guitars, bass, vocals, and buses.

Main Features

Two Equalizers, Two Musical Approaches

The EQ module is switchable according to your needs: the 550L 4-band parametric for quick and precise corrections, or the 560L 10-band graphic to "draw" the sound at a glance. This approach is particularly effective for adding aggressiveness to a snare, tightening the low end of a bass, opening up guitars, or making a vocal stand out with a more present midrange, all while maintaining an analog feel and a very stable image.

212L Preamp and Unison Integration (with Compatible Interfaces)

The 212L preamp delivers API grit thanks to the 2520 op-amp and transformers, with a fast response and a very "forward" character. With compatible Apollo interfaces, Unison technology allows you to capture key preamp behaviors (impedance, gain staging, and sweet spot zones) to record aiming directly for the right color, just like hardware. You also have console functions such as Mic/Line, a dedicated cut filter, and an inline -6 dB pad.

225L Compression: From Control to Character

The 225L is designed to fit everywhere: it can smoothly tame, thicken a take, or conversely emphasize the impact sensation. The selectable "New" and "Old" modes offer two compression textures, handy for adapting the behavior to the style (cleaner or more pronounced) without changing tools.

235L Gate/Expander and 215L Filters: Precision and Creativity

The 235L Noise Gate/Expander is very fast, ideal for managing drum ambience, reducing guitar amp noise, or tightening a kick. The fully adjustable high-pass and low-pass filters of the 215L allow for broad, musical cleaning: removing rumble, taming excessive highs, or preparing a track before compression, all while preserving the source's character.

Artist Presets for Immediate Start

The collection includes presets designed by renowned engineers and producers (Joe Chiccarelli, Neil Dorfsman, David Isaac, etc.), useful for quickly obtaining a credible base on common sources, then refining according to your mix.
