An LR20 (D size) Battery Designed for the Field

In the studio, rehearsal room, or during a gig, reliable power often makes the difference. The Varta LR20 1.5 V (D size) meets the needs of musical accessories and technical equipment that require a good energy reserve, especially when a constant voltage is essential. Its performance, engineered to maintain nominal voltage longer than other industrial batteries, helps prevent sudden drops in output on power-hungry devices. The result: more consistent performance, whether your gear runs continuously or in bursts.
Convenient to keep in a flight case, control room drawer, or emergency kit, it offers up to 10 years of storage life. Its fully sealed design greatly reduces the risk of leakage, a crucial point to protect your equipment and extend its lifespan. A simple and robust choice to secure your sessions and mobile setups, with the reliability expected from a recognized brand.

Questions frequently asked

Is the Varta LR20 compatible with devices using D batteries?

This battery adopts the cylindrical LR20 format, also called D size, with a voltage of 1.5 V. Compatibility therefore depends on a device designed for a 1.5 V LR20/D battery.

What voltage does a Varta LR20 battery provide?

The nominal voltage is 1.5 V.

How long can an LR20 battery be stored?

A storage duration of up to 10 years is indicated. The LR20 format can thus be kept in a flight case or a repair kit before use.

Is this D battery suitable for high-energy-consuming musical equipment?

Its output current is stated to be high. The maintenance of the nominal voltage is expected to last longer than other industrial batteries, including during continuous or burst power supply.

Is the LR20 battery protected against leaks?

The hermetically sealed construction is claimed with total waterproofing and a leak-free guarantee. This design helps protect battery-powered equipment.
