Historical Context and Positioning Within the Range
Mallets combining a synthetic head and a rattan handle follow a very "field-oriented" approach: durability, playing stability, and consistent response. Delrin is often chosen for its resistance and uniformity, while rattan remains a benchmark for its natural flex and tolerance to striking variations.
Intended Users of This Drum/Instrument
This mallet is suitable for beginner to advanced percussionists who want a direct feel and fine control of the attack. It is particularly relevant in contexts where articulation must remain clear (precision work, fast passages, clean dynamics), and more broadly for styles requiring a clear and stable strike.
